Style Imitation - Destiny Blue

So, I want to try and branch out from anime art a little. I do draw other things when it's traditional and in different styles, but my digital art has always been kinda behind.

I was at Comic Con a little while ago and I noticed a stall selling absolutely gorgeous prints. She kinda inspired me quite a bit. I really want to improve, to get out there and have my own little stalls at awesome conventions. The artist turns out the be super popular here on DA, which isn't at all surprising, some of you may know her as some of her most recent posts have been Daily Deviations. I ended up buying two and I'll probably find myself buying more.

I decided to try and imitate her style, just as a kind of experiment/practice thingy. Anyway, this is the result. There are a lot of problems, I'm not happy with it, in fact I wasn't even going to upload it. But then again I'm guessing DestinyBlue puts a lot more effort and time than I did into this, and it'd be good to look back on in the future. The lighting I think I did relatively well, but it hasn't got the super adorable anime-ish look to it that her work has, it's kinda like a horrible semi-realism thingie.
